Before the artist gets to make anything of size, someone has to come up with the money, the resources, and the plan to get it done. That is the job of the Producer. The Producer is the catalyst that has made film-making an industry. Handling the legal, financial, and distribution issues for film product is the only way to find and deliver to investors. Finding scripts, locating the talent, creating the plan and presenting it to people who are capable of buying it is an art form of its own. During this class, you'll have an opportunity to not only learn how to plan your own productions, but also speak with veteran Producers and learn to avoid industry pitfalls.
