  Clients often ask how they can donate or help with our mission. For that enthusiasm, we sincerely thank you! We've made it as easy as possible to donate to our program by clicking the link below. These contributions not only impact our program but also directly support other Community Based Organizations both local & abroad by allowing us to serve as a lifeline & provide media services far below market rates. A few of our partners are the Westmont West Athens Task Force (weekly meetings & events), the School to Success program through Bethel Church, the Westmont West Athens Community Action for Peace (CAP), Taste of Soul (LA's biggest street festival, & an aviation society for the youth. Your support also allows us to sponsor student enrollment fees ($2,400 per student), staff teachers, service equipment, develop new curriculum, & outfit additional classroom space.

*If you'd like to donate empty building space that would be great in helping us expand & be able to pour more funds into the program instead of overhead costs. We're looking for a place that's secure, relatively quiet, and in a nurturing environment for adults and minors.

  Our Mission Statement is “To train, build, prepare, and support the underrepresented through film and media training.” Opening in 2020, the Los Angeles Film Kitchen is a direct offshoot of our nonprofit called The Media Aid Center. Since 1996 we have trained over 3,000 youth, adults, and organization leaders internationally. The Media Aid Center also built mini TV facilities at schools and provided in-class accredited training throughout LAUSD and beyond. After teaching young people for over 20 years, we decided it was time to focus on adults. That's when the Los Angeles Film Kitchen was born! In an effort to remain accessible to the community we serve we charge 1/10th of the cost of a traditional University & keep classes small. When you support the LA Film Kitchen you're supporting 1 of the few black owned film schools in the United States.
